Fair Use Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

We aim to keep QRQ plans straightforward and their usage allowances generous, without requiring most customers to monitor technical limits. This Fair Use Policy sets the boundaries for those allowances. It applies to all QRQ plans and all use of QRQ, including features described as “unlimited,” and supplements our Terms of Service.

What we consider fair use

Fair use means using QRQ for its intended purpose: managing genuine customer, visitor, student, patient, attendee, or employee queues for your organization.

Normal business use—including temporary increases caused by busy periods, events, promotions, or seasonal demand—is generally considered fair use. We look at sustained patterns and their effect on the service, rather than isolated spikes.

Excessive or unfair use

Use may be considered excessive or unfair when it places a disproportionate burden on QRQ, affects the experience of other customers, or goes materially beyond the intended purpose of your plan.

Examples include:

These examples are illustrative and not exhaustive.

How we assess usage

We consider the nature, frequency, duration, and technical impact of the activity, as well as the customer’s plan and intended use of QRQ.

A short-lived increase in legitimate activity will not normally be treated in the same way as sustained or deliberately excessive use. We will apply this policy reasonably and in good faith.

What happens if usage is excessive

If your usage falls outside this policy, we will normally contact you first. We may suggest practical changes, recommend a more suitable plan, or discuss a custom arrangement based on your requirements.

Where possible, we will give you reasonable time to adjust your usage or move to an appropriate plan.

We may limit, throttle, or temporarily restrict particular features when necessary to protect the security, stability, or availability of QRQ. In serious or urgent cases—including deliberate abuse, security threats, unlawful activity, or conduct that materially affects other customers—we may act without prior notice and may suspend or terminate access in accordance with our Terms of Service.

Custom requirements

We understand that some organizations operate large venues, major events, extensive location networks, or other high-volume services. That does not necessarily mean QRQ is unsuitable for you.

If you expect sustained or unusually demanding usage, contact us at inbox@qrq.app. We will work with you to find an appropriate arrangement.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Fair Use Policy as QRQ and its infrastructure evolve. Material changes will be communicated through the service, by email, or by another reasonable method.

If this policy conflicts with our Terms of Service, the Terms of Service will take precedence.
